Walking the line & The Beatles
Brian talks about how he might have plagiarised a Beatles song unconsciously.
"When you are writing a song in the moment you are not really conscious of the melody line until you hear it over and over again. Then there's the moment when you ask yourself does it sound like anything else. Usually you know straight away but sometimes it can take weeks, months until you realise that your melody sounds very like something that has already been written by a famous artist. Then comes the desician whether you just ditch it straight away and go back to the drawing board or you try to change a note here and there but it's never the same.
